Production Seamstress: Responsible for sewing all company pieces (orders and samples) from start to finish using The Tiny Closet sewing and manufacturing method.You must have previous knowledge and experience with sewing apparel, specifically knitwear. Previous knowledge and experience working with an industrial sewing machine is preferred but not required. The right candidate can be trained.
Primary Duties:
Sew and press a variety of garments in various fabrics from start to finish with a high standard of quality
Meet daily production needs of 3-5 garments per day to start. And up to 7 garments per day during holidays and high season
Master all company techniques and guidelines for finishing a Tiny Closet garment
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Skills/Abilities:
Experience using a sewing machine (home or industrial)
Knowledge of sewing techniques such as serge seams, french seams, seam ripping, seam allowances, straight stitching, basting, gathering, applying v-neck facing
Ability to work independently for long periods of time
Able to prioritize work and manage time effectivelySelf-motivated problem solver
Willing to learn and improve on sewing techniquesStrong attention to detail and quality
Speak fluent English
Work Requirements:40 hours/wk Monday-Friday between 9-6pm with an option for flexible scheduling of your choice, contingent on company needs and approvalEntry level starting wage for this position is $14.50/hr
